Viking Pump: A Comprehensive Overview

Viking pumps have been one of the most popular positive displacement pumps since 1911. Operating under the IDEX umbrella, Viking pumps are high-quality, fully tested pumps that can pump over 1400+ liquids. Viking pumps are high quality, fully tested and promise durability. Viking has more than 245 authorised distributors in more than 65 countries across the globe, providing application support and service.

All Viking pumps have a capacity of 1,600 GPM (365 M3/Hr) and, with their unique construction, can handle fluids with a viscosity between 28 and 2,000,000 SSU. The pumps can work with applications that need to handle pressures up to 2500 PSI.

Universal Seal Series

The Universal Seal pumps are compatible with a large number of applications across industries that need to handle pressures up to 200 psi. The pumps are capable of moving high-viscosity fluids at even higher pressures at reduced speeds. All Universal Seal series pumps can handle thin and thick liquids and operate under suction lift conditions. Made of stainless steel, the pumps are corrosion-resistant and have a wider pH range. Enhanced bearing housing results in easy packing installation, and the universal bracket design allows a consistent flow of fluids for a longer performance duration. When it comes to handling aggressive and abrasive fluids, customised internals do the needful. All Universal Seal series pumps are built for precise flow adjustment with end clearance settings to make up for any axial wear and tear.

The Viking Universal Mag

All the pumps under this series feature a leak-free magnet drive internal gear pump design, which is well-suited for pumping hazardous, challenging liquids. These pumps are also ideal for applications where low maintenance is critical. All pumps under this series are industrial strength pumps, including models such as 1124A Series, 1127C Series,1224A Series and 1227C Series, which can work for light, medium, and heavy-duty applications. The design features a sealless structure and dry run capabilities for easy line clearing or tank emptying without damaging the pump.

Motor Speed/ ViGEN

These pumps feature several technological advances in the science of flow, offering up to 460 GPM (104 m3/h) at motor speeds. These pumps are sealed, anti-friction, and do not need to be relubricated. The pumps under this series can transfer oils (including lube oils, hydraulic oils, transformer oils and edible oils), fuels (including diesel, biodiesel, kerosene, jet fuel and methanol) and chemicals (including refrigerants, polyols, solvents, methylene chloride, additives, poultry fee and coolants).

Spur Gear

The Spur Gear or the SG Series external gear pumps are built for industrial applications that need to handle pressures up to 170 bar (2,500 PSI). The SG series pumps come in a variety of sizes and options for various operations, including pipeline injection, pipeline sampling, and oil polishing. They can handle liquid flow up to 190 GPM (719 LPM), and their needle bearings offer high-pressure capabilities with sleeve bear options. There are more options, including the close-coupled motor mount or foot bracket options, in case a manufacturer has specific space or motor requirements. The cherry on the cake is that the SG pump has a double pump configuration, which enables two flow rates from a single power source. This feature reduces the overall equipment cost.

DFO Skid

Another Viking offering – the Duplex Fuel Oil skid is an auxiliary supply support skid for equipment such as generators, boilers, etc. for emergency fuel supply.

To sum it up, Viking Pumps are designed to perform under challenging conditions, including extreme temperatures, while handling abrasive materials, and corrosive chemicals, making them an ideal choice across industries such as food processing, chemical manufacturing, oil and gas, and pharmaceuticals. Their product range is vast and includes gear pumps, vane pumps, and rotary lobe pumps, all tailored to meet specific operational needs and ensure consistent performance.

The USP of Viking Pumps is their commitment to engineering excellence and customer-centric design. The company strongly focuses on energy efficiency, high performance, low maintenance requirements, and robust construction, ensuring long-term value for its users. Viking Pumps also offer a range of customisable options, allowing industries to adapt the pumps to their unique operational requirements. Every customer is supported by a team of experts for their individual customisation requirements. Not only that, but their extensive global distribution network and technical support services ensure that customers receive reliable assistance for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Throughout the pump operation, the IDEX team is constantly there to support the customers. By combining innovative technology with over a century of expertise, Viking Pumps continues to be a leader in fluid handling solutions, supporting industries in achieving operational efficiency and sustainability.

Viking pumps are trusted by a number of industries, such as chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, and food. To know more about Viking pumps and their features, please check out their website today - https://www.idexindia.in/viking-pumps/
